Microsoft Teams

Install

1. In the web app go to Settings → Apps → Microsoft Teams → Download manifest.
2. In the Teams admin center, upload the app package under Manage apps → Upload new app, then allow it for the users or groups you want.
3. Users add the app to a team or chat. On first use, users sign in once with their Microsoft account; identity is mapped to the workspace user by email.

For tenants with Entra ID SSO enabled in the workspace, sign-in is silent.

Grant knowledge

Add the team or channel under Knowledge → (knowledge base) → Access → Channels. As everywhere, users only see documents they can open in the source system.

Approvals

Approvers receive an adaptive card with the context and Approve / Reject actions. Decisions are logged in the run trace.

Microsoft 365 as a knowledge source

SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook shared mailboxes and Teams channel messages can be connected as sources with tenant permissions synced. See SharePoint and Outlook / Exchange.
